Cheding’s started as a peanuts store in Iligan City. For decades it has existed in this wonderful city of waterfalls and recently decided to put up a store in the United States. Because of its very satisfying taste of its prime product – the roasted peanuts – the business grew larger than expected. Later on, more and more delicacies from different places, mostly in the Mindanao, were displayed and sold inside the store, now popularly known as Cheding’s Peanuts.
Both tourists and locals alike visit Iligan City because of its magnificent waterfalls including Maria Cristina Falls and Tinago Falls. Other tourist attractions include Macapagal Ancestral House, swimming pools such as El Lauriento and Dela Mar and a lot more. These travelers often flock to Cheding’s Peanuts for its numerous delicacies and other souvenir items including shirts, key-holders, bags and porcelains. They take the delectable delicacies home to their family and friends.
The peak season of Cheding’s Peanuts is during the celebration of the Diyandi Festival of Iligan during the month of September, Christmas Season and summer months.
Peanuts packs come in different sizes – 1 kilo, ½ kilo, 370 grams, 50 grams, ¼ kilo and 200 grams foil pack. The Cheding’s bestseller is ¼ kilo pack at P42.00.
For forty-seven (47) years, the business remains unfaltering in producing quality peanut products for the Filipinos here and abroad as well as with the other nationalities who could taste the peanuts. The store has also been relentless in selling consigned and retailed delicacies from different provinces of the Philippines.
